LIttle Women

Little Women

For my next project I want to create a series of cloth dolls from 'Little Women' by Louisa M Alcott.  I remember watching this movie with my beautiful mother, many, many times.  The 1949 version with Elizabeth Taylor, Janet Leight, June Allyson and Margaret O'Brien is my favourite.

'Harry'

The making of .........
'Harry' Cloth Doll
I made this doll for my daughter Emma who is obsessed with One Direction and wanted a doll to represent one of the members.  I know he doesn't look like him, I'm not an artist.  She wasn't happy with the head.
She's going on camp soon and wanted to take him with her.

New and bigger head.

With his denim suit and red checked shirt.

Close up of face.
Finally finished!  If you would like a similar boy doll, he can customise him to
suit your child or decor.

Now he is finally, finally finished with a sculpted face and
more hair!  All ready for his trip to Central Australia!

Things I am working on at the moment.........................

My aunt Joni passed away in 1995 she was only 32.  She was my best friend. She was 4 when I was born
and we've always been really close.
 Lately I've been finding
the letter 'J' around the place.  If you look at the image above closely there is a 'J' in thread on the
white bloomers.
I love getting messages from the other side!

An Alice in Wonderland doll and cheshire cat.

Almost finished...........just need shoes and a headband.

Butterfly.  Still have to add wings and face.  Hopefully she'll be beautiful.

   An Owl.
This is Cecily Bee; Queen of the Bees.  She's my emblem for my designs and sits watching me in my sewing room while I create.  I came with Cecily Bee from my children's initials Chloe, Emma and Courtney and B is for my beautiful mother, Betsy and apparently 'ily' is I love you ~ teenage shorthand.
